With the changes in technology as well as the changes in how a business operates with departments and branches not only crossing city limits, state borders, but international borders, having a board room meeting or conference is not as simple as it used to be hence the change in Board Room Equipment specifically
BACK IN THE DAY:
Gone are the days where everyone worked under one roof or single building and the company either had only one or two board rooms on the same floor for each floor and all you needed was:
- a whiteboard and some markers, pens or pencils, and or legal pads
- white-screen for a projector for slides and a presenter with a laser pen or pointer spelling out graphs hand-drawn and boring the life out of everyone.
TODAY:
With offices not only nationwide but globally as well, having a board meeting or conference has become a PA’s nightmare.
But it has had caused them to either work hand in hand with an Audiovisual company, the company’s IT department, or to go out and do a partial IT or technology course s that they can do Board Room meetings anytime and anywhere for the bosses, using the right equipment.
The equipment needed is always audiovisual and the software used of such importance as to create an illusion of not only having everyone in the same room seeing and hearing what is presented in the “global” board room but comes across as creative as possible so that:
- everyone attention is kept at 100 %
- can be presented and saved at the same time so no notes need to be taken
- setup in such a way that all attendees, no matter where in the building, city, country, and or work they may be, they can not only understand clearly but participate instantaneously with Q and A’s relating to the information presented.
SO WHAT DOES THE FUTURE HOLD:
Well, with the way the world of technology has changed so quickly especially in audiovisual computers and software, as we have seen the way they do it “in the movies” the next step would be actual either 3 dimensional or hologrammed meetings being held.
This could be possible ways of creating such board room meetings:
- special glasses that each attendee can wear and will give an illusion everyone sitting around the same table at the same time
- hologram technology can generate images of everyone sitting at the same table at the same time
So with that in mind, we see how important and technical BRE has become and will become in the future.
