Grounding is a connection between earth and electrical devices. This connection is made with a wire connection. The lack of electrical insulation represents danger to humans. The electrical device can also be de-energized by means of a differential circuit breaker: this device automatically cuts off the power supply in case of leakage. Current then passes immediately into the ground.
Earthing is therefore a matter of safety above all; it avoids any risk of electrocution. It also protects electrical appliances (washing machine, dishwasher for example) to prevent them from being damaged.
All devices commonly used must, regardless of their class, have at least two means of protection against electric shock. Secondary mechanisms protect against electrocution if the main protection fails.
You can measure the earth with an ohmmeter. It is an electrical resistance meter (expressed in ohms) supplied with two electrodes. These connect the ohmmeter to the ground. According to Ohm’s law, the resistance R (in ohms) is equal to the ratio of the voltage U (in volts) to the intensity of the electric current I (in amperes), that is, R = U / I. The device imposes a voltage and measures the current, or generates a current and measures the voltage.
To make a connection to the ground, it is necessary to use the following equipment: a meter, a pencil, a hammer, a mallet, a spade, a spirit level or a digital level, electrician’s screwdrivers, a perforator, a hacksaw, a screwdriver, a miter box, a cutter, a cutter and a pipe wrench. The same applies to a combination wrench, a wire stripper, a stripping knife, a ground rod, a cut-off bar, copper naked and ground wires.
Some of the affordable earthing technology requires a manhole with a concrete cover, a flexible and rigid sheath, a duct connection sleeve, clamps, grounding connectors, ground wires and clamps.
The gaze can be installed a few centimeters from the wall (about 50 cm), but always in a place that is not exposed to frost. Be careful to keep the grounding away from chemicals, manure and any other substance or material that could corrode it. You can also install the look a few meters from the house, in the garden. It will be enough to dig a trench to the building to bury the thread.
Dig a hole large enough to place the look with the help of the spade (for example: 40x40cm and 40cm deep). Make an effort to dig a hole in the center of one of the surface; the hole will allow the wire and its sheath to pass.
